Last night I stumbled upon this great blog post by Denise in Bloom. She is sharing several different ideas for dressing up your pumpkins. Here’s her post:
What a great time of year to celebrate the pumpkin. It’s always amazing to see the new things that are being done to pumpkins for fall without any carving involved. I have gathered some pumpkin decorating ideas to inspire us to embellish our pumpkins in new ways, making them last through the season.
Love these decopauged designs! You could do this on “funkins” and they would last year after year!
How about this white one with lettering and burlap roses!
Beautifully stacked and naturally embellished into a topiary.
Pumpkins Painted white and distressed make for a unique twist on the pumpkin.
Show off your monogram on gourds and pumpkins. Simplistic carving!
How about painting patterns in stripes, polka dots and argyle? You gotta love it!
An elegant painted monogram. This is a great way to welcome guests to your home.
Muted shades of pumpkins embellished and wrapped in interesting ways.
By carefully choosing the right size, color and shape you can simply stack them up, showcasing the natural colors and beauty of the naked pumpkin.
These are fun pumpkins fixed up with nailheads!
I hope you are as inspired as I am by these ideas. I can’t wait to get started! Looks like I will be taking a trip to the pumpkin patch very soon to load up. Hmmmm…..I’m thinking some hot spiced cider, a big pot of homemade soup and a some warm apple crisp. Hey, a girl has to keep her energy up while creating!
