Being in the stationery business we, of course, love all things paper. There are so many neat and fun things that can be done with simple paper. But the end result looks anything but simple…

Look how much fun you can have with basic office and craft supplies, some fantastic paper, embellishments, and your imagination!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Giant Paper Clips
Designer Paper
Cardstock
Adhesive/Glue
Punches
Markers
Small Stamps
Stickers
Ribbons
Buttons

Step 1: Gather supplies of your choice, including a few giant paperclips.
Step 2: Punch out some shapes, get stickers ready.
Step 3: Using your Glue, Tape, or Pop Up glue dots adhere the front and back pieces of card stock to the top of the paperclip, creating a great little area to embellish as you desire.

So there you go…very quick and simple!!

Did you catch the embellished paper “bug”? Want me DIY project ideas? How’s this? Paper Embellished Clothes Pins!

What you’ll need:
Clothes pins
Mod Podge
Small paint brush
Scraps of patterned paper
Xacto knife
Ruler
1) Measure out the width of your clothes pins and using your ruler and your Xacto knife, cut out strips from the different papers.
2) To get the proper length, place a strip on the table with the clothes pin over top of it. Slice the strip of paper where the clothes pin ends.
3) Using the paint brush, brush on a bit of Mod Podge on one flat side of the clothes pin.
4) Place the paper strip on the glued section and smooth out.
5) Repeat on other side if desired.
6) Wait until it dries and you’re ready to use them!
Feel free to go wild decorating these. Hot glue buttons, ribbon, magnets, etc to them. The sky’s the limit so be creative!!
This is a fun and interesting way to display some of the numerous photos we all have lying around not in frames or on our walls.  Kick it up a notch (Emeril sytle) and extend some ribbon or twine along the wall and use clothes pins to fasten pictures to it. Genius!

Louis Vuitton’s new Shanghai super-store opened this past weekend and, suffice it to say, it is beyond anything we’ve ever seen or could dream of! The four-story mecca of leather goods has 100 employees and features the usual Louis Vuitton items we know and love, plus made-to-order cases for tea sets (love!) and mahjong tile carrying cases. There’s also a gilded spiral staircase and a private floor complete with a hair salon! Check it out!

Have you picked your jaw up off the floor yet? We told you it was OVER THE TOP! Now who is on the phone with their travel agent booking their next trip to Shanghai?!

There’s something so special about getting a hand-written letter or card in the mail. And when you’re a kid away at summer camp, that’s never been more true. They love receiving and sending letters to their friends, family, and siblings back home. Why not make it extra fun for them by giving them their very own personalized stationery??

There are so many darling patterns and designs to choose from. Surely, you’ll find one that’s perfect for the little camper in your life.

And when the summer is over, camp is behind them, and they’re ready for back-to-school these personalized note cards still have plenty of life left in them. Have your kids write letters to their camp friends, keep in touch with Grandma & Grandpa, write a nice thank-you note to a kind gift-giver. Keep hand-written sentiments alive in your children. One day, they’ll thank you. Perhaps on a piece of grown-up stationery they picked out all on their own.

Whew! We’re home, settled, and getting back to reality after our fabulous time in NYC for the National Stationery Show 2012. WHAT.A.TRIP.

Didn’t our booth look amazing!?!  Look!!

NSS was the perfect time for us to introduce some of our new collection. We’re so proud and hope you love them too!

This one was even recognized as a nominee at the 24th Annual LOUIE Awards presented Sunday, May 20th. We didn’t take home the crown, but it is still a HUGE honor to be nominated. Thank you to the Greeting Card Association for considering us for the award.

We of course loved seeing all of our clients and new retailers, our vendors as well as some other great designers and friends. We loved what we saw from Anna Griffin and Lifeguard Press. Did you know Lifeguard Press carries Lilly Pulitzer and Jonathan Adler!?

We were overwhelmingly thrilled with the great response we got to Clean Couture. The excitement continues to build surrounding the launch of this wonderful line!

So we know we can be be pretty girly around here, but we’re putting that on hold – at least for a short while. This Sunday June 17th is Father’s Day and we thought it would be sweet to fawn all over the amazing Dads out there. Some of them really don’t get the recognition and respect they deserve.

Be creative this year in showing Dad how much you love him…there are SO many adorable ideas on Pinterest our heads were spinning!
