As promised last week, when we shared some delicious and simple Hanukkah treat ideas, here are some fabulous and tasty Christmas treats for you to make this year with your family. Enjoy!
Hot Chocolate Dippers

This one could not be simpler! Dip candy canes in melted chocolate (dark, milk, or even white!), then drizzle with white (or milk) chocolate for added pizzazz. If you choose to get fancy, you could even add a mini marshmellow or two!
Brownie Christmas Trees

Cut brownies into triangles, add a thin candy cane as the trunk, decorate with icing and Red Hots – or any candy of your choosing. Simple, fun, and festive!
Marshmellow Reindeer

For these adorable bites of deliciousness, you’ll need a few more ingredients…large marshmellows, lollipop/popsicle/ or pretzel sticks, ribbon, melting chocolate, cinnamon candy, small pretzels, candied pearls (or other candies) for the eyes.
It’s a tad more labor intensive than the other treats I’ve shared with you, so here are directions…
Break the pretzels in half, you’ll need two halves for each reindeer’s antlers. Count out your cinnamon candies, score the tops of the marshmellows (for the pretzels) and put them on the sticks. Once your assembly line is set, it’s time to melt your chocolate.
Place chocolate melts or chocolate chips in a microwaveable glass bowl. Microwave on high at 20-30 second intervals, stirring each time until chocolate is just melted, but not too hot. Dip a marshmallow into the chocolate, covering it entirely. Use the backside of a spoon to smooth out the side and top, and to remove any excess. Repeat the process on the next marshmallow.
After about five or six marshmallows, add the pretzel antlers, by gently inserting them into the scored parts of the marshmallows, and hold them for a few seconds to make sure they are secure. This might take some practice, so be patient!
For the nose and eyes, you can either add them when the chocolate is still wet, or finish the whole batch, then dab some melted chocolate onto each piece and attach it to the marshmallow to make the face.
Once they are completely dry, tie a small piece of ribbon around the stick like a scarf. Ta da – so very cute!!
Merry Christmas! Enjoy your delicious – and adorable – holiday treats!
So Hanukkah 2012 started a few days ago but for all of our Jewish friends, we thought it would be fun to share some quick and easy ideas for Hanukkah treats. The kids (and adults) will love ‘em! And of course one not need to be Jewish to partake in the yummy Hanukkah goodness!
Marshmellow Dreidels

All you need is marshmellows, pretzel sticks, blue sugar, and some Hershey’s kisses. So easy and fun!
Chocolate Dreidels
These delicious Hanukkah treats are created from Hershey’s kisses, marshmallows, pretzel sticks, and melted semisweet and white chocolate.
Cupcake Menorah

This yummy Hanukkah menorah is so simple! Cupcakes (homemade or store bought, whichever you choose), Twix candy bars, and Peanut M&M’s on top for the candle flame.
Happy Hanukkah!
Stay tuned next week for delicious Christmas treats…

SUMMER IS HERE! Bright colors, hotter temps, beach vacations, BBQ’s, outdoor parties, and succulent refreshing seasonal fruit.
Sure, fresh summer fruits are delicious on their own. But they can taste even better when they’re part of a seasonal meal. We found some fantastic recipes using some of summer’s best crop — plums, peaches, apricots, berries, and melon — in dishes you can enjoy all day long.
Breakfast Bread Pudding with Peaches and Vanilla-Buttermilk Syrup
A new brunch favorite! Instead of the usual French toast or pancakes, try this bread pudding with fresh peaches to start your day.
Skillet-Roasted Apricots and Blackberries
Warm skillet-roasted fruit is a satisfying dessert that’s only made better à la mode.
This fresh summer chutney can be served with grilled sausages, pork chops, charcuterie, or cheese. If you prefer a smoother chutney, cut the plums into smaller pieces at the beginning.
Sugar-Crusted Pecan Shortcakes with Peaches and Raspberries
This fresh summer dessert combines juicy stone fruit and berries and nutty pecan shortcakes.
Grilled Cornmeal Flatbreads with Peaches, Serrano Ham, and Spicy Greens
These tasty flatbreads are topped with ham, cheese, peaches, and a delicious almond topping.
Blueberry Brain-Boost Smoothie
Recent studies show that the powerful antioxidants and phytochemicals in blueberries may improve cognitive function. Paired with walnuts, they make a blueberry smoothie that tops the antioxidant chart.
Watermelon Aqua Fresca Smoothie
Traditionally, authentic agua frescas are made without blenders by simply mashing fruit with a fork or masher before adding water. We like using a blender for an ultra-light, refreshing rendition of this traditional Mexican drink.
Inspired yet? We hope so! Go on…run to your farmers’ market and pick up some yummy summer fruit. A world of deliciousness awaits!
You may think I’m talking about spring weather…but I’m not! I don’t know about you, but it seems the world has gone BABY CRAZY! Lately, everywhere I turn I see a baby or a pregnant woman. But you know what – it warms my heart. The promise and excitement of new life is always something to celebrate. Something to cherish.
Now, we all know that baby showers are pretty standard fare when a woman is about to become a mommy. But have you heard of a baby sprinkle? A baby sprinkle is like a “step below” a baby shower. The mommy can gather with her absolute closest friends and family and celebrate the soon-to-be arrival of her newborn bundle of joy. Baby sprinkles are for women who are becoming a mom for the second (or third!) time around.
What makes a good baby sprinkle gift? The once-again mommy can always use items such as diapers, formula (if so chosen), baby food, and bath products. Another great idea would be a massage gift certificate, a day at the spa, a simple facial or manicure, or baby sitting “coupons.” Think simple date night away from hectic daily life. Being a mom is hard!
Since a baby sprinkle isn’t a full blown baby shower, some choose not to go all out when inviting guests, selecting decor, food, and entertainment. Some still play games and have super cute inexpensive baby sprinkle favors.
But if your mantra is “Go Big or Go Home”, by all means…GO FOR IT! Create fancy invitations (we know of a fabulous online store who can hook you up!), delish food, and great decor.
Happy Sprinkling!
Strolling through Pinterest the other day I came across this sweet picture of a baby shower for Jade over at Lovey Living. After looking at a few days of dark overcast skies this was just such a happy pick-me-up. I must admit that it does make me yearn for Spring and tulips. In celebration of her new bundle of joy Jade picked the ever favorite pink! Hey, what girl doesn’t like pink. From the tissue pom “clouds” hanging overhead to a charming dessert table, this party definitely feels like a sweet lullaby-come-true!
The table came from inspiration from sites such as Party Perfect and Hostess with the Mostess these blogs are amazing and some of the parties are simply to die for. They are both great sites for getting theme ideas.
Paying attention to all the details certainly makes this table look amazing. Tiny muffin flags, coordinating colored cupcake wrappers, straw embellishments and labeled jars of candy pull the whole look together.
I love how incredibly clean and pretty this celebration feels. Using all white plates and tablecloth makes all the goodies take center stage. A simple pink bird banner adds that little touch of whimsy. I’m sure this baby shower was a smashing success!

What do cheese and snow have in common?
What do snow…..
…. and mozzarella cheese……
……have in common?
A snowman, of course!!! I know, I have had snowmen on the brain lately. It must be the weather and the holiday. But when I came across this darling idea from “ less than perfect life of bliss” blog post, I just had to share it with all of you. Not only is this easy, but it is sure to be the hit of the party!
Here’s how to make your own cheesy snowman:
Just mix together (2) 8-oz. packages of cream cheese, a clove of garlic (minced) & a 1/4 cup of finely shredded mozzarella. Form the mixture into 2 balls , one larger & one smaller, then roll the balls in more mozzarella. To assemble the snowman, stack the small ball on top of the larger (use toothpicks to stack if needed), then add peppercorns for the eyes & buttons & a shred of carrot for the nose. To make the hat, cut circles from a piece of toasted wheat bread, then place it on his head with a toothpick!
He is just so stink’n cute!! Something tells me that we are all grabbing our purses and car keys and heading to the grocery store. Oh wait, I don’t have a party to take him to……Hhhmmmmm…..that’s okay, he’ll be a welcomed guest right here in our breakroom!

Little Monsters
Hostess with the Mostess shared this darling party set-up with products from Sweet Scarlet and I thought it was just too cute not to share with all of you.
Live, bright fun and not too spooky – perfect for a first Halloween! Your little ones will love this cute little set to put any Halloween party on the map. Go for something different other than witches and ghosts and pumpkins and let the “monsters out” for this one.
I don’t think anyone could resist gobbling up one of those yummy cupcakes. Especially when they are all dressed up with these monster cupcake wrappers and Halloween party circles. This adorable printable Halloween banner makes for the perfect accent for getting everyone in the spooky spirit.
Milk never looked so good as when you serve it in these old fashion mini milk bottles. Add a stripped straw and a colorful creature sticker and I’m sure there won’t be a drop left!
I’m drooling over this black and white mini pumpkin. It is such an eye-catcher. How cute to set these around your table. Okay, you still have time to run out and gather your party decorations…..don’t forget your costume….and invite some friends and family over for a monster good time! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Happy Monday!
