Being in the stationery business we, of course, love all things paper. There are so many neat and fun things that can be done with simple paper. But the end result looks anything but simple…
Look how much fun you can have with basic office and craft supplies, some fantastic paper, embellishments, and your imagination!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Giant Paper Clips
Designer Paper
Cardstock
Adhesive/Glue
Punches
Markers
Small Stamps
Stickers
Ribbons
Buttons
Step 1: Gather supplies of your choice, including a few giant paperclips.
Step 2: Punch out some shapes, get stickers ready.
Step 3: Using your Glue, Tape, or Pop Up glue dots adhere the front and back pieces of card stock to the top of the paperclip, creating a great little area to embellish as you desire.
So there you go…very quick and simple!!

The New Jean – Beyond Blue Denim…The evolution of the beloved blue jean continues: The newest and trendiest denim is clad in gorgeous saturated colors, luxe finishes and a riot of pretty patterns. We found some of the hottest pairs to wear.
Indigo hues aren’t going anywhere, but the freshest take on jeans sees bold colors taking center stage. Rocker-chic detailing and super-glam surfaces mean jeans work as well after dark as in the daytime, while skinny and slouchy silhouettes vie for the year’s fave shape.
Colors and Prints: Visible Change
The quickest and easiest way to refresh your jeans wardrobe is with a hit of extroverted color. Try dusty rose, moss green, terracotta or deep maroon. Gotta go blue? Make it a vivid azure. Or take on the neutral trend in rust- or clay-colored denim.
For date night, dancing, weekend dazzle skip the understated hues and dare to shine. Metallics are a huge trend, and skinny jeans gleam with gold, silver and bronze.
Antique floral patterns, brocade and paisley skew retro, animal and reptile designs look classic, and digital and optical prints shout “couture”.
Finishes and Textures: The New Feel
Remember distressed jeans? They’re baaaaack, and this time they’re called “destroyed”. Sometimes the destruction is subtle, with frayed hems finishing otherwise sleek pairs, while other jeans are totally shredded.
Night-right pairs sparkle with sequins, studs and beading, or go supercool with metallic burnout or stamped designs.
A massive trend this year, skinny leather jeans are the skin to be in.

Make sure you incorporate enough storage to support your needs. A media room will need cabinets for equipment, while a library requires sturdy shelving for books.
Try to avoid anything too trendy or you might soon tire of your special getaway. Instead of bold paint colors, opt for bright accent pieces.
Some hobbies are messier than others, such as art and craft projects. In this case, select a space that allows you to hide everything behind closed doors.
Whatever you decide, keep in mind that our lifestyles are bound to change over time. That’s the beauty of a theme or hobby room. It can provide a cherished refuge that reflects your current interests, and it can easily be tweaked to suit future pursuits as the need arises.

Take something you really love – a letter, envelope, photograph, a ticket stub… anything, really – and take it to a printing place like Kinko’s and have them blow it up to large scale. Voila! Instant art. Brilliant. An old recipe from Grandma would be great for the kitchen!
