NYC – here we come!

We, here at Modern Posh Design, take great pride in our work. So when someone very well-respected within the industry gives us a pat on the back, we tend to beam with pride. We had the privilege of designing a holiday card for none other than Sarah Schwartz, editor of Stationery Trends Magazine. She was kind enough to write this testimonial.

This has been the second year that Julie did our holiday cards, and I can hardly put into words how thrilled we’ve been with the results both times. Last year’s output — based around a photo of my daughter sitting in front of our rhododendron trees — was incredible, and I honestly thought it would be impossible to top. How happy I was to be proven wrong — this year’s is even more amazing! All I did was tell Julie that I’m currently obsessed with chevron stripes and sent her a few photos — and she created this amazing tri-fold that knocks the socks off of everyone who sees it! She really transcends the whole holiday missive to create something truly unforgettable that is so much more. We get so many compliments on it — perhaps the best one received so far was from friends of ours that said they preferred ours to the one they got from the president! I am *almost* embarrassed to get these types of responses from friends & family!

Can you see us beaming from where you are? It was such an honor to work with Sarah and we are thrilled to have had the opportunity. Here is the holiday card we designed for her and her sweet family.

As if that weren’t enough to get us all giddy, Sarah also featured a piece of our work in a recent List Topping Trends article she penned for the Paper Clips Newsletter section of the National Stationery Show website. Here is an excerpt. Be sure to check out the whole article here.

Rainbows. Quiet since the 1980s, rainbows have been reborn in a big way, and may be just the sunny tonic a recession- or depression-addled nation is seeking. Updated for today’s aesthetics, they have been rethought and reinterpreted, appearing on everything from cake layers to … you guessed it, chevron stripes.

We are so excited for the upcoming National Stationery Show, May 20-23, in New York City. We look forward to it each and every year! We’d be ever-so-pleased if you stopped by and visited us at Booth #2815. We’d love to see you!

…is so last season! Picture this – Sicily, 1947 (sorry, my Golden Girls affection crept in there for a second).

Picture this – you’re at a bar, a nightclub, a networking function, your son’s soccer game, Nordstrom, wherever. And you meet someone that you’d like to see again – an attractive member of the opposite sex, a potential girlfriend to share margaritas with, a business lead, or a fellow parent of an unruly toddler you can commiserate with. You’d like to exchange info with this person, but how? Not long ago, your only options would have been to scrounge in your bag for a scrap piece of paper and a pen, or ask the bartender for a napkin. Or, as a last resort, scribble the information down with eyeliner or lipliner! Not anymore, my friends, not anymore…

Adult Calling Cards – an ingenious idea! They are available in a variety of styles, colors, and designs. You’ll be sure to find one that suits your personality perfectly. Use them as calling cards, networking cards, small notes, gift enclosure cards, favor gift tags, book plates, or belonging markers. The possibilities are truly endless. And they make great gifts for the impossible-to-buy-for. And we ALL have someone like that in our lives!

And think about how sophisticated and refined you’ll feel pulling on of these gems out and smoothly handing it over to your new friend! Explore the possibilities here.

Happy New Year everyone!   We at Modern Posh are busy creating new, fresh designs for 2012.

Now that the holiday is behind us, the new year brings an opportunity to regroup, declutter and take a breath.   It’s also the time we sit down to write our thank you’s for all our wonderful gifts we received.   We carry some fun, personalized cards just for that purpose.

These pretty cards will make a distinct impression with their unique designs and colorful patterns.

Put a face on it!  You can customize our cards by adding a picture of someone special.  We know these little touches matter when keeping your family and friends in the loop.

Remember, email can get boring and receiving a personal thank you note always makes a person feel good.   And when the notecards are fun and fabulous…well….that only makes it better.   We love what we do and we hope you do too!

We’re tooting our horns and waving our pom-poms!  Our website is finally up and running just in time for the holidays.  We are thrilled to be able to offer you our new lines of cards, address labels, gift enclosures, stationery, etc.  It’s been months and months of a lot of hard work but we think you will agree that it was worth the wait.

Speaking of holidays, did you know the custom of sending Christmas cards started in the U.K. in 1843 by Sir Henry Cole. He was a Government worker who was very interested in the new ‘Public Post Office’ and wondered how it could be used more by ordinary people.  So he and a friend created the first Christmas card and the rest is history.

This year why not send one of our modern, unique and colorful cards to your friends and family.

Modern Posh carries a variety of options for you to create your own individual card.   Choose your font, colors, and photo.

Oh, and don’t forget your return address label.  We offer several darling labels for you to choose from.

As you prepare for this holiday season be sure to put your Christmas cards at the top of your list.  The Christmas season is about love, caring and sharing. It’s so nice to be remembered at this time of year and even nicer to receive something by mail.

Did you know Modern Posh Design can put any picture you like on stationery?  Just think of the possibilities!  Now you can personalize gifts, cards and your own notepads with a picture of the that someone special.  You get to pick the colors, fonts and design.  This is just one of the many wonderful and unique stationery items that Modern Posh Design has available.  Check out this video to see some of the other fun paper products we offer.

As Modern Posh gears up for the official launching of our new website, we took a break to snap some pictures for our marketing material.

It was so much fun getting our room set up for the big shoot!  We shoved around furniture, displayed our stationery products, and called in our friend, Jami Lindberg, “The Savvy Socialista,” to be the face of our commercial.

This vivacious blonde brought her natural, bright smile and friendly charisma right to our screen.

We were thrilled to see our colorful, fun products showcased in this beautiful setting.

It won’t be long now……..

Stay tuned……

This is where I’m at today.  Waiting is not one of my best qualities, especially when I’ve had to wait way too long.  I’m talking about my new website.  There are so many wonderful items just waiting for you to gobble up. I can hardly stand that I’m having to make you wait and wait and wait!

Seriously, I am doing everything possible to hurry this along.  Please don’t give up on me.  I promise you won’t be sorry for waiting.

I’m chomping at the bit…….hang in there with me……..surely it won’t be much longer!
